This is one of our favorite places to visit in Myrtle Beach! Located on the southern end of the Myrtle Beach city limits, this is a 312-acre preserve that features the beach, a maritime forest untouched by human development, and nature trails, as well as modern conveniences like a campground, a nature center, and a fishing pier. Visit Myrtle Beach State Park We saw an amazing sunrise at Myrtle Beach State Park Pre-purchase your ticket via Tripshock 4. Try the SkyWheel’s VIP flight, which boasts first-class quality and a special gondola. The ride goes for about 10-minutes and you get beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and up and down Myrtle Beach. If you want an even higher and more spectacular aerial view of the beach and downtown area, then take a ride on the SkyWheel. This gigantic observation wheel that stands unmissable in the cityscape has 42 glass-enclosed gondolas that can seat up to six people. Ride the SkyWheel on the Promenade Amazing views from the SkyWheel Our pick, the OMG burger: two patties piled high topped with Applewood Smoked Bacon, cheddar cheese and crispy onion straws. The views from the rooftop bar are amazing, but if the weather is not being kind, you can move to the inside dining area with floor to ceiling windows.Įither way, the views and food will leave you feeling satisfied. There are two main sections: one is more serene and natural, the other is focused on some of the fun things to do in Myrtle Beach like the beachfront shops, arcades, bars, restaurants and the iconic 200-foot Myrtle Beach SkyWheel (see down below). Along the main shoreline is a 1.2 mile stretch of boardwalk from 2nd Avenue Pier to just north of the 14th Ave Pier.
